Job Overview

The HSE Advisor supports all onshore activities within the Oil & Gas environment by implementing, monitoring, and improving Health, Safety, and Environment standards. The role ensures that shore-based operations, logistics, and support services are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily HSE support to shore-based Oil & Gas operations, including logistics, warehousing, marine support, and maintenance activities.

• Conduct regular inspections, audits, risk assessments, and safety observations across the site.

• Develop, update, and implement HSE procedures, emergency response plans, and operational safety guidelines.

• Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for staff and contractors.

• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and monitor corrective actions.

• Ensure full compliance with client/company HSE policies, local regulations, and international Oil & Gas standards.

• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, registers, permits, and training records.

• Promote a proactive safety culture and collaborate closely with Operations, HR, and Management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or degree in HSE, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.

• 35 years experience in HSE roles within Oil & Gas, marine, logistics, or industrial settings.

• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.

• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are advantageous.

• Excellent communication, reporting, and training facilitation skills.

• Strong analytical ability and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
