Job Overview

The Offshore Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all logistics, materials movements, inventory control, and supply-chain activities between the offshore installation and the onshore base. The role ensures that equipment, consumables, tools, and critical materials are delivered safely, accurately, and on time to support continuous offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accuracy in manifests, load-out plans, and documentation.

  • Manage offshore inventory systems, conduct stock checks, and maintain accurate material tracking records.

  • Work closely with crane operators, deck crews, and supply vessels to support safe lifting and cargo handling operations.

  • Prepare material requests, ensure proper packaging, labeling, and certification of equipment.

  • Monitor critical spares, consumables, and operational equipment levels; initiate replenishment when required.

  • Verify that all materials comply with offshore safety, QA/QC, and Hazardous Goods requirements.

  • Liaise with onshore logistics teams, supply-chain departments, and contractors to coordinate shipments.

  • Update inventory databases, issue reports, and maintain traceability for all materials movements.

  • Participate in toolbox talks, PTW processes, and operational safety meetings.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience as a Materials Coordinator, Logistics Officer, or Storekeeper in the Oil & Gas sector (offshore experience preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of offshore lifting operations, cargo manifesting, and inventory systems.

  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and certification requirements.

  • Good understanding of supply-chain workflows and vendor coordination.

  • Ability to read and process shipping documents, MSDS, and equipment certification.

  • Offshore certifications (BOSIET/FOET, HUET, Medical).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
